What is IQ?
Briefly, IQ stands for "Intelligence Quotient" and is a measure for measuring intelligence. More fully described, the Intelligence Quot (usually abbreviated IQ for German Intelligenz-Quotient, after the work of the German psychologist William Stern) is a measure of a person's intelligence. Is IQ the same as being smart?
Yes in some contexts, but this is a topic of discussion to many. Note that human knowledge or "book smart" has nothing to do with IQ. Read more:
Who has the highest IQ in the world?
Marilyn vos Savant considered by many to have the worlds highest IQ, since she is included in the record books. Her IQ is located between 167 and 200 approx. Furthermore, many people believe that there are others not mentioned higher IQ. Read more: link 1, link 2
Can I train my IQ?
Many researchers believe that intelligence is not something that is predetermined the day you were born.By practicing your intellectual skills in various ways, you can at least improve certain aspects of them and thereby raise your overall IQ. However, you will not be able to make a genius of a person with too low IQ. A study of 1.2 million Swedish conscripts who recently presented at the University of Gothenburg also shows a clear connection between good fitness and better results on IQ tests. However, muscle strength did not matter.
